January 1

Today I will...stand in the name of Jesus against the attacks of the enemy.

January 2

Today I will...seek the praise of God in all that I do.

In the New Year, I will live one day at a time. I will make each day one of preparation for better things ahead. I will not dwell on the past of the future, only on the present. I will bury every fear of the future, all thoughts of unkindness and bitterness, all my dislikes, my resentments, my sense of failure, my disappointments in others and in myself, my gloom and my despondency. I will leave all these things buried and go forward, in this New Year, into a new life. :169:

Today I will ...seek to be poor in spirit—to be one who is fully dependent on God.

Today I will ...commit myself to being less defensive and allowing God to defend me in every situation.

Today I will ...give thanks with greater appreciation for the spouse the Lord has given me, and will endeavor to see the health of that relationship as central to the success of our service to God.

Today I will...look for opportunities to bless rather than curse those who may mistreat me.

Today I will ...view my whole life with eyes of faith.

Today I will...seek to be poor in spirit—to be one who is fully dependent on God.

Today I will ...look to demonstrate the love of God to those I meet, especially those I find unlovely.

Today I will ...smile in the knowledge that God is my friend.

Today I will...remember that the way of righteousness and joy are the same path.

Today I will ...cultivate in my own heart a desire for the rewards that God promises to those who seek him.

Today I will ...actively look for ways to encourage others in my life.

Today I will...commit myself to being less defensive and allowing God to defend me in every situation.

Today I will ...repent of all independence in my life and, like father Abram, trust in God to lead me into his promised land for my life.

Today I will ...seek from the Lord a new lesson. I'm one of his disciples!

Today I will ...walk in freedom, not carrying about my sins and past failures, for I know that my guilt and uncleanness have been washed away in the atonement of Messiah.

Today I will ...ask the Lord to search my heart to reveal any presumption within me.

Today I will ...remember that whatever else I may be required to do, my first calling is to be Jesus' disciple.
